If no one is streaming I watch VODs. I'm subbed to about 50 chuubas. When I get back from work it's like 5am in Japan so the only people who are up are early birds, nocturnal freaks who were up all night, and then later at (my) night time, the ENs.

I have the opposite issue. I sub to like 50 people, realize a few months later that I'm only watching like 5 of them, and do a mass unsubscribe session.

If my oshi isn't streaming, and a back up isn't streaming, then I'll find a vod or watch someone who's friends with the girls I watch. So basically I prioritize my top girl, and funnel down.

Elira, Rosemi and Pomu are good live because they're basically GFE filler background noise.

Selen is good for vods because she does 4 hour streams where commentary and chatting are minimal, with constant references to on screen events that you'll only understand if you're paying attention.

I follow many people loosely (ignore most SNS shit, besides a few).
But I will still try to catch some interesting streams, preferably collabs with others. (especially if it is a cross-collab between groups, whether companies, friends of friends of friends, etc., as it creates some interesting mingling and hijinks)
Given the privilege of being at home all the fucking time, I can leave shit on in the background regularly and just pop in and out while I work away.
This applies to non-vtuber stuff as well as vtuber stuff. I'm not a retard that only watches vtubers because MUH NICHE HOBBY.

I'm not really a fan of big collabs personally, every time I watch one it's always chaotic with them talking over each other and not hearing what the other person is saying and just being really awkward in general. Two person collabs are sometimes okay but sometimes they're still just as awkward. So I reject this notion that some people have that collabs are the "important streams."

Obscenely huge collabs are always chaotic, but smaller ones are fine.
Things with distance chat are fine in larger groups, but that happens extremely rarely.
Gameshow-like collabs are also fine since it is segmented talking, usually, or just every cunt raping your ears with Discord encoding when laughing.
It also depends on you yourself and whether you like quiet or loud things. I jump between either, so sometimes I don't actually like watching large collabs at all and stick to nice chill streams.

3 seems to be the best collab number, if one person is kinda quiet the other two can fill air but they will still notice when the quiet one hasn't said much recently, so they usually let her talk when she has something to say. That number can go up to 4 or maybe 6 in zatsudan streams, but it depends on the group and how much experience they have with a big collab.

You finally do the work to use your Shadowman powers in the living world and have to hunter a serial killer in an abandoned apartment complex.
