Goddamn it. Please don't give me hope that Haachama is here to stay. I've been following her nearly from the beginning, and I've spent an ungodly amount of time watching her streams. But when she went on that extended hiatus I decided to unsub from her channel and leave /vt/ for good. I was sick of her inability to keep her promises and getting disappointed constantly. I was way too emotionally attached this schizo, and took it way too hard when I thought she was going to graduate.

I have not kept up with anything vtuber-related since leaving, but now she is apparently back and has been uploading somewhat regularly. Fuck. I don't know if I should start watching again. I really don't want to get too attached again. However, I must admit that having now watched her most recent Slither stream has made me feel happy hearing her voice again after so long. I understand how you feel. I was so absolutely attached to her during most of last year, to the point where my mood was affected by whether or not she streamed. I was hit hard by the hiatus, but even though she came back it just has not been the same. She keeps taking random week long hiatus's with no communication, then coming back and barely acknowledging it. While I'm not defending Haachama's flaky behavior, I can empathize with her. When going to college and working, it is easy to burn out. In my experience, it can make any minor task feel like a chore. If I ever miss a deadline in this state, the feeling of disappointment with myself can make it harder and harder to work up the energy to do the needed tasks. It can easily spiral into a vicious cycle. While for me it normally only lasts for a couple weeks before I get my act together, it seems like Haachama is having a tough time getting out of the cycle. Ironically, this is making me want to protect her more. But the only way to escape this is to find a way to become motivated again. That's something she needs to learn and possibly the hard way. Enabling this behavior will only make it worse.

The truth is that she does truthfully declare how she feels and thinks at a given moment. It's just that she can later change her mind in the blink of an eye without any idea how it might affect those around her or watching her.
