Numbers wise? pretty sure they're all lost since ARK got privated hard.
The first peak was also way back in February, before the lockdown so way fewer people were watching.
In the June period, Aki was getting 5-6k and Flare 8-10k, the others like Coco and Choco being all over the place.

Coco or Aqua got consistently over 10K but that was normal for those two in other streams too. For others it varied a bit but overall it was the biggest boost game the whole vtubing scene had seen yet, meaning several 10K streams every day and events and bigger collabs at over 20K. Aki stopped being a three digit viewer streamer when she picked up ARK.

That's stupid. Twitch-exclusive? With how permissions work and the different rules between the platforms, it sounds like a whole lotta fucking work for minimal-moderate gain.
Okay you know what, let's entertain this idea because I'm bored. Lets say they debut a wave of 5 very succesful chubbas, and they're all 15-20k+ streamers and basically trounce the shit out of vshojo. You know what happens? They sit on the front page and Twitch mods and admins start selectively enforcing nonsense bullshit, or even go so far as to segregate them off of the front page.

You make a good point. 5 chubbas probably wouldn't be enough to cause that big of an issue on the front page. The logistics of running permissions is probably a bigger issue, and why segregate your talents like that when its easier to just stick to one platform? Running watchalongs on Twitch makes sense, but I'm not sure a full twitch-exclusive branch makes much sense given the box-pushing nature of Hololive. Seems like a good way to cause POTENTIAL issues in the long run.

Roommate said lots of shit, may have costed her a segment of the audience but the tanking of NijiEN3 numbers is not on her alone.

None of them have any redeeming feature, all of them rely too much on "talking streams" and without anything to show for they won't have a base audience that will sit through (let's say) SC reading or watchalongs

Anon-chama...fine, I'm feeling generous.
She isn't responsible for that, the fact that they pushed out waves too close to each other, the fact that Selen stole their debut buff (kek), and the fact they frankly had a HORRID opening week of stream choices (really? Donation reading so soon? Bleh) killed momentum.
Nina is a lefty grifter who's 100% in it for the cash and essentially stated that she's in vtubing because it lets her get away with stuff she wouldn't be able to otherwise. She isn't entirely wrong, but to have that sort of thing dug up means it haunts you forever on a place like 4-chan.

They'd be better off blaming management for their terrible decision making in dumping so many chuubas in a market they clearly have no dominance over. They should've known once Obsydia dropped and their CCV lowered (even if it was still stable) that they needed to make space for their chuubas to actually grow.

HoloEN could've gotten away with two full gens back in 2020 when Niji was still asleep and they had the chuuba market pretty much all to themselves, but even Cover didn't give it so much much as a thought.

Well I was only saying what I would do. Also to be fair, as I was watching NijiEN I soon realized they are less restrictive than HoloEN already (in what can and cannot be said), likely for the very reasons I specified; a desire to stand out more. My personal opinion is simply that it doesn’t go far enough. But whatever I guess.

On Nina's Russian only stream she talked about Coco and Kson as the same person and talked about how Hololive wouldn't allow Coco to do an English only stream.

Well I think that’s true as well, which is why I said it doesn’t go far enough.

I think NijiEN is in a difficult situation right now. Even though I don’t watch VShojo, I’m curious as to who they will get from the auditions.

So first this girl has shit about being able to get away with shit because she has a vtuber model and now she breaks the etiquette for one of the most beloved holomems. I know it's basically an open secret but even people closest to Coco don't do shit like this. Though I don't agree with your premise I do agree with this observation at least. NijiEN is in this weird middle ground of not being either Hololive or VShoujo. Which means that fans who like the anime-style slice of life vtubers will always choose Holos over them while those who prefer the unflitered western streamer style will always prefer VShoujo.

Yep. One of the last bastions of entertainment for entertainment sake with no ties to the real world. The pandemics put people in search of escapism and cute anime girls playing vidya and singing and dancing and having cute tee tee moments provide just that.

>All of this...I don't know if we have a right to talk about this, Coco left Hololive...but the actress who play...the actress, or you could say the vocal actress [she means voice actress] who plays her, she still makes streams and it's very easy to find her. True. honestly why bother with NijiEN when you have Holo or Vshojo to choose from. If you're content is not gonna run afoul of Holo's restriction, then go audition there.

If you really value creative freedom, then just go to Vshojo.

This is an interesting view because it shows the flaw in using the mean average of peaks: it was severely inflated in late July and all of August and cratered in September even if the median didn't really go down that much

October tho, not showing the same strength as August

Waiting room waiting across multiple streams in the same collab tally is dubious, as multi-tabs aren't culled until streams start.
That's why we can see extreme drops, or that waiting room > actual CCV in some collabs. I'd wait until the actual streams start before I start tallying.

Comparing EN and JP is pretty stupid because we all know JP's livewatching audience is so much bigger that it's usually a miracle when EN gets a night that has the total CCV of an average night for JP.
For EN, there's no one else to compare to except Vshojo and NijiEN, one is on a different platform with a different algorithm for CCV and the other is a pointlessly one-sided comparison.

I can't blame them for being more cautious, I can blame them in that they handled it poorly. Its not the first time Cover's management has been incompetent, but at the same time boy were they understaffed. It's really not until this year that they finally look to have more adequate staffing, as before it wasn't uncommon for 3 or more talents to share a single manager, based off of what multiple holomem have said.
The Taiwan yab DID cost them business, but ultimately they'll be better off in the long run by being forced to minimize ties to China, much like cutting off a rotting limb saves the host.

*Stalkers causing her to have to take constant breaks from streaming due to Nijisanji policy
If Niji didn't, then the police and courts wouldn't take their cases seriously. If they don't do this and something does happen, they go up in hellfire as they get roasted alive by fans and the media for 'failing to ensure the safety of one of their livers'.
Ultimately Lulu felt that having to take constant breaks wasnt worth it and left because of it.
