OP here, been busy so haven't really had a chance to update. Anyway, shortly after I made this thread, I ended up talking to my brother about this mess. He recommended that I try taking a dose of psilocybin and work through my issues that are causing this since he's some weird pseudo-hippy spiritual type. He said something called ayahuasca would probably be better but he couldn't get that stuff and it sounds like some weird Joe Rogan thing anyway and I'm not about to buy some funny monkey supplement that could fuck me up.
Long story short, I ended up eating some mushrooms with him as my trip-sitter for about 10 hours. I went for a walk through a small wooded area by his house and basically convinced myself that I was a Skelegoob and the only way for me to defeat the soon to be tulpa was by killing Luigi over and over again so Gura never would quite playing the game and would never read the credits in the first place. Naturally, my brother had the idea that the only way to do this was by letting me use his switch to load up a bot match in Smash and falcon punch Luigi off the map for several hours.
I think it worked because I've only heard the Gura voice once today and that was because I remembered that I made this thread. Other than that, hasn't happened since so I think I'm in the clear.
