being /around/ is what most creators tend to do, sometimes talk about this place but usually its dismissive to keep distance.
/here/s tend to grow there audience from this place, but most times theyll abandon their 4chan fans because 4chan doesnt make for a good fan community in the long term, thats why nyanners and many other creators distance themselves from this place and get hate for "betraying 4channers"

That was different, the /here/ Nyanners was on was /a/ and /v/ back in the day. /a/ had a lot of people hate her because she was an attention whore, 3D, etc., /v/ had a lot of people hate her because they hated weebs and some for similar reasons as people on /a/. Regardless of what she did, at that time and place she was always going to get that sort of treatment.

people want to be pandered to, they just want it to seem genuine. They want to know that the vtuber likes the thing they like but they don't want to think that they're being lied to about the vtuber liking the thing.
When a corporation, who isn't a person and thus is incapable of having good taste, pretends to like the cool thing it's always being called out as pandering because it's fake. But when an individual celebrity likes anime or something reddit flips its collective shit because they don't really get anything by saying "gee i sure love naruto" before starring in some capeshit.
We just have a tendency to call it pandering when its something we don't like, even when it is genuine. Arguably see Coco and reddit review? I didn't watch that shit, so I don't know if she actually thought that stuff was funny.
