I just noticed there was a NijiEn team already before all the active En teams
Who are they BTW? Why are they not streaming anymore?

>> No.11373171

>>11372881
>troll thread
But I'm bored. They're the India branch of Nijisanji, none of them actually wanted to continue streaming and they had terrible popularity in India with Noor being the only one semi-successful. Their switch to the EN side was a last ditch attempt to save them which failed and they all decided to quit, except (at least known) for Noor which became the EN manager. Noor originally was meant to be the India manager but because of lack of interest she got drafted as a liver instead.

Some of Noor's EN streams were actually pretty fun and I recommend going back to watch them but she seems happier where she is now.

Noor did not become the EN manager she is behind the scenes for EN auditions and hasn't spoken to the girls since.

to give you an idea, Vihaan rarely had more than 20 viewers a stream. Anycolor made a poor decision picking to launch a branch in India purely because of its total population instead of doing actual research to see where it would be successful.

>> No.11375441

I feel the worst for Aadya. Felt like she was genuinely trying. Noor absolutely had the best design, but her method was like a stoner just aimlessly drifting along with they way she streamed. Vihaan was just the typical male debuff, but also was trying. Full fault is on anycolor though with how they handled, or lack thereof handled the group at all.

No one in Nijisanji gets special equipment. All they get is the Live2D and an iPhone to record their face. Why should IN get special treatment, there's JPs still streaming from earbud mics

>> No.11375835

Well, they were rebranded to EN when it was too late to save them. They also didn't earn enough money which I find hard to believe since there are tons of livers that aren't that different from indies in terms of views but they certainly have to give some sort of compensation to the company, meager as that may be.

>> No.11376115

>>11375702
Maybe they could have been saved but they were fighting an uphill battle. Aadya and Vihaan's character designs where a HUGE debuff. Tack on the India debuff and the male debuff for Vihaan and they were screwed. I didn't watch any of the Indian nijis much but it also seemed like Noor was the only one that tried networking. I could be wrong but I also assume it's hard to network when your numbers are that small. Aadya could have worked out because from what I saw she was getting around just a little less than Derem numbers, but Vihaan was truly a 2 view literal who. I like the streams I saw of Aadya and Vihaan so it's a shame things didn't work out. Also completely fucked that they got rebranded as NijiEN with no advertising then got kicked back to being IN before just getting completely nuked to make room for the NO MALES division.

The whole IN branch was a massive marketing failure. Comparing them to the EN branch is a great showcase of what not to do. For EN they took over the Niji reddit, bought some Youtube ads, hyped it up on twitter, had a special debut event with some existing talents introducing them all, they even made a them song. For IN they tweeted on some account that nobody read and then just threw them into the wild. I think. I don't even know. The only one who got a notable amount of subs is Noor because she speaks Japanese and collabed with a JP branch streamer which let some people be aware of her existence.

The other big issue is that they called it the "India" branch. The average person is gonna see the name and go "oh I don't speak whatever language they speak in India (I don't even know)" and then move on without ever checking out a single video.

>> No.11381371

>>11372881
Any Color fucked IN so hard. I watched all their debuts and occationally Noor and Aadya streams. All 3 were decent streamer who seemed like they put a lot of work into streaming. When the IN market wasn't there, they started talking primarily in English to try to get some of the EN market that existed for ID. Any Color saw this and ham-fisted them into forming NijiEN, even though all of them were clearly Indian. They then proceeded to not give them any marketing to the western audience and then expected them to float on their own, cause "they are EN, they are bound to succeed". After a while of them not succeeding they switched back to NijiIN only to, again, speak English 95% of the time because of the little audience they did have. After a while, Any Color determined the project a failure and cut all 3 of them. I hope they are doing well, cause they did everything they could, but got fucked by the circumstances.

>> No.11384767

>NO MALES division.
Funny to think that Anycolor saw adding males in the branch as one of the mistakes they did with it and proceded to not add a single male for three waves in a row and seemingly didn't plan on adding some until they saw the outcry of a portion of the fanbase and hurried to throw together an audition announcement for a male only wave, separated from the females and left dead last.
Pretty funny when you think about it.

That's a question to NijiIn management. During that time, they were responsible not only for IN branch, but also for the whole Niji West. That's why there were allowed to rebrand their branch into "NijiEn". After that failed and after multiple other fails, they were axed.

Also while they might have wanted to continue streaming, their actual streaming time was pretty abysmal, they all averaged like 2 streams a week and that was a detriment to their growth. That's the reason they now have the rule for EN of delivering at least 3 streams a week.

Do we know if it's an actual rule and not just a strong recommendation? Apparently at least JP has had these strong recommendations/audition requirements to provide content x amount of times a week since the beginning, I believe I heard Mito talk about it once.

Because unlike other companies, anycolor doesn't bullshit about their business model.
relatively speaking vtubing is dirt cheat. you buy someone an iphone, spend 2k on their model, and set them out on the world.

Its not free, and there's always the potential for yabs. But for something like nijisanji its not a big deal unless someone starts leaking shit. dropping 10k for a new branch that has the potential to be the next big thing in india is a relatively cheap investment for a potentially massive payoff. it didn't payoff so they basically just lost some of mito's pocket change and moved on to the EN branch which is at least self-sustained.
