I cannot motivate myself to go on twitch. It seems way better for viewership for most every vtuber outside of Hololive & Nijisanji, but once a vtuber I like migrates there then I'll at best maybe catch 1 stream every few months if I happen to check their twitter right when the stream is ongoing. I hate the Twitch community & generally don't like watching people stream besides vtubers while youtube has a way better variety of content so it's easier to justify spending time on the site.

It's not something owed. It's what you do if you want to prevent hurting other people. Goslings will happen if a streamer gets big enough. There is no reason for them to not set their audience's expectations properly other than trying to exploit people. They don't lose anything except viewers that were looking for something they didn't want. They know what they personally want, the audience doesn't. They can save heartache by letting them know.
