As far as how everyone asks for collabs cross branch, JP talents would apparently send a message showing interest to their manager and their manager will relay it to the Manager handling that Talent. As far as, why won't the vtubers ask the vtuber themselves? Maybe they have policy about it. It would seem easy to do on Twitter to @ someone. I mean that's how Polka got a collab with Coco.

Another thing, if Cover is doing this in a retarded way, I would imagine that they created a separate department for EN vtubers. That means media relations, sponsorships, content management and content permissions are most likely being handled by just 2-3 people. If I was their manager, I would be weary too especially if it would lead to incessant bullying. This is retarded though because it limits the reach, support and scope of what you can offer the vtubers. I have seen this kind of mismanagement a lot in startups that wants to give all responsibility to a certain few until they are so overworked they quit.

Unironically this. Birb's train monopoly stream proved it. Even though it was a literal trainwreck and 3 out of 4 participants apparently spent the entire time suffering due to time zone differences, it still went much better than the infamous shark bullying montage because everyone made an effort to keep their shit together. Board game was also easier to watch than the Ame x Mel collab, where Ame didn't even make any attempt to use shitty japanese. Mel was trying her hardest and live translating herself while Ame just sat there absentmindedly. It wasn't even funny. They could've had hilarious misunderstandings the entire time and been the literal embodiment of a shitty japanese meme. Instead, Mel spent the entire time struggling harder against Ame's obliviousness than she ever did against manager-san and ultimately failed to save the stream or make it funny. Definitely an easily avoidable shitfest resulting from both cultural and linguistic differences, as any non jap would've outright told Ame to try using a translator instead of worrying about being rude.

Either collab partners should always speak a common language, use deepl to converse in shitty engliah/japanese, or be professional enough to take everything in stride. At least with ID, there's enough cultural and linguistic overlap that even en's two monolingual twitch thots can participate without having to actually turn their brains on. Participated in an among us collab with en and jp. She played the game normally and used her trilingualism to gain an edge. It was seen as obscenely awful sportsmanship when others were trying to honestly translate and bridge the gap between en and jp.

This resulted in Mori and gura getting frustrated and exploding at times, while Ame was only unrustled because she was on a constant imposter streak and didn't have to say anything. Ame either never got accused much or had a jp speaking partner running interference for her.

And because the translators were unable to maintain civility between non-imposter ens and the ragtag band of jps, in part because the jps had no tard wrangler like botan during the first en/jp among us collab, the entire event was widely seen as an I'll thought out fiasco due to the game's ability to be fun being highly dependent on actually being able to communicate with everyone else playing.

Tldr Risu was a competitive autist who couldn't read the mood or understand that building international bridges was more important than winning a party game. Lofi also got flack. Luckily Risu was humble during the train monopoly collab, which was a good look and avoided further controversy. But she was also dealing with fellow multilinguals and didn't need to carry anyone else's slack.

It could also be cover tasking her with avoiding controversy first and foremost after the various incidents they've had, even at the expense of good management. If her interests and corporate mandate conflict with those of the talent, friction is bound to ensue.

This is why female talent are troublesome. You want to avoid public outrage at how they get treated by the company or how they treat each other, but they also expect freedom to do as they please even though the company will be the one to take responsibility first and foremost if something goes wrong.

Ironically, it may be that everything is caused by cover trying NOT to be a black company when being a black company and letting their talents get docked by managers might unironically improve the quality of their operations. At the very least, being able to have a hands off approach and not worry about public backlash would allow them to ease up on micromanagement if they were free to hammer down any nails that stuck up.

By trying to protect the talent from themselves, that practically necessitates locking them in a gilded cage just like societies did to women FOR THE EXACT SAME REASON. In other words, the issue may be that there's simply no way to simultaneously give the talent the freedom they want AND still protect them from consequences as those are conflicting values and require some sort of compromise. Enma's management may be that compromise.

Tldr cover may be doing nothing wrong. It may just be the moral outrage mobs who created this mess by forcing cover to go into full ass covering mode. That's the twist. The more cover's harassed and shut on about how they handle their talent, at least in regards to liberties taken by or with them, the less liberties are taken and the tighter the nooses around their necks get. Kindness can in fact be counterproductive, and this appears to be an example of it. Had mel, Coco and any other troublemakers just been canned, that might've been for the best instead of just trying to protect everyone by flailing about wildly.

This is the management viewers deserve, simply because we live in such a society.

I mean while the Risu part is entirely a rrat, the rest IS mostly true. The gen 5 vs EN game went well because they all took turns talking, and translated back and forth. In that collab, they all just shouted over each other, and almost no attempts at translating was made, because one of the EN speakers always had somebody to bail them out, and the other one spent most of the game dead or ignored. In a game where the entire point is communication, not being able to properly communicate makes for a very shitty game.

I feel most of everything that has been happening recently is due to Cover actually wanting to be an idol company and them preparing for a large shift coming up with the release of holoAlt ect. The moment they decided that they wanted to actually do something with official lore the question of making is seen believable had to come up. This may be why Haachama had to stop also, she turned her character completely into something else and with the removal of the videos people will have to rely on clips to ever know it even happened. A lot of the successful hololivers are mostly famous as sololivers. Pekora, Korone, Aqua, Miko, Ayame, Botan, Rushia and Suisei all get roughly above 10k livers with very high SC are all famous on their own. It is true that many of them collab but the biggest one rarely do.

The only complaint that should be posted here is the fact that clearly some girls are floundering and needs some sort of push to boost their stats and creativity. This is hard to do if you are not in a unit, shy or if you don't speak the language or all of the.above.

EN and JP management should acknowledge it and be more hands-on on some. This is the issue because we know Kiara, Ame and Ina has never had an issue getting a collab going. Only Gura and Callie are retards.
