Trendhopping. Also, it takes a while to make a working model. By the time it gets out it may already be too late. Also, big name e-celebs drop it after maybe the first 2-3 streams because they get bored easily.

You guys thought that Hololive EN was the peak of popularity of vtubing and it's now slowing down?
Wait until normalfags (aka: everyone) normalize it and everyone becomes a vtuber.

I've lost so many youtube subscriptions to this shit. They'll have a good thing going, getting like 2-5k viewers a video, start trying vtubing and give up after three or four times because their viewership plummets. They seem to think once they get the model, they don't need to put in anymore effort beyond that. They think that being an indie is easy for some fucking reason.

It'll only get easier and cheaper to become a vtuber. Eventually it will be as common as having a social media account.
