Habit. /wvt/ has existed before /vt/ was made, almost a full year ago by the end of the month. Vtubers weren't allowed on any board prior to /vt/, and JP ones were only tolerated on /jp/ because basically they couldn't be stopped. By the time /vt/ was made the /wvt/ regulars had gone native and became too comfortable in their /trash/ home. They stay mostly because they can post porn, blogpost, and do whatever without the mods really caring about anything, but it also limits who can actually find them and their chuubas. These threads are kept up primarily for visibility and advertising, which would work better if it was more active but this is as good as it gets until the next schizo makes the /trash/ thread unusable again and they come back out of necessity.

If you've got something that you're interested enough about then you don't really need chat to keep conversation going. Not sure if he kept old VODs archived somewhere, but a reason why I keep bringing up caleb for these topics is because I watched him when he averaged around 5 views with a very silent chat, but still didn't have a moment of dead air. Yup. To be fair, if he hasn't got his thoughts in complete order or there's a bunch else going on, he can be roundabout and stuttery and unfocused in the process. Considering he's ESL, it's not a surprise that he's not an expert wordsmith. However, it keeps completely dead air, where there's nothing else occurring, to a minimum, and when he's well versed in the thing or there's no distractions, he can weave a wonderful wall of words about on-stream things or off-stream concepts equally well.

That being said, spanish almost guarantees you an audience since there's a lack of primarily spanish-speaking vtubers but I'd say 70/30 would be fine too. It's entirely at the discretion of the streamer, they probably think the same but go with that stuff anyway just because it's what gets engagement and for some viewers it might mean they chat more and move on from that cringe shit. It's just something to put up with for the sake of watching chuubas incline, and most here keep it modest.

Again it's sort of dependent on the streamer, but either way I think it's probably one of the best features of twitch both for streamers and viewers. I won't always like who they raid but it means I some genuine chuuba recs and it saves me from having to channel surf every time a stream ends.

Debuts are simply hype events, you shouldn't depend on them to suddenly boost your viewership in any meaningful way unless you're just ridiculously talented, lucky, and entertaining which most people are not.

As much as I enjoy some /here/ chuuba, they're none of those things. They're having fun and I enjoy watching them because I love the small grassroots feel some streams have, but a majority are only mildly funny and are carried by the fact /here/ viewers like them. Pick a chuuba and imagine how low their viewership would be if they weren't depending heavily on their popularity on /vt/. I don't mean it as an insult to them as plenty have gotten better with time, but most just don't have what it takes and people only like them because they post on the same website as they do.
