I tried playing APEX and realized how OP Wraith and Octane are but no one will care because most people use them and pretend they're balanced(in fact I've seen ppl several times leaving when they couldn't choose Wraith or Octane, they don't do it for any other character). And if any character dares to counter these two it will be nerfed to the ground(see Wattson and Caustic). Literally only 1/3 of the legends are viable to play.
This shit is so unbalanced I don't understand how they got away with this crap lol

This. The extremely high TTK made the third party problem so glaring in the first place. I'm only in plat but even there games are really slow because people don't want to initiate fights because of it.

Apart from tap strafe octane isn't really OP and wraith isn't really so bad. They provide good mobility so everyone including really good players use them. But they should buff wattson for sure.

It's not just the TTK and 3rd partying. The RP system forces people to play passively. If you're below Diamond, it's infinitely easier to run and hide for placement RP, rather than get in a fight and risk losing.

Same here. Finally tried it out because of Selen. If you just want to have fun and pew pew playing with randoms is fine but I wouldn't ever touch rankeds without full premade
