Pikamee is only moderately popular because being a Vtuber that can speak English (and actually does as opposed to Coco who streamed in Japanese 99% of the time) was a huge novelty at the time. Sorry to have to say this, I know it's a hard pill to swallow, but everybody who was there at the time knows it, even if they want to pretend not to. This doesn't say anything about her talent, if anything she did a good job capitalizing on the attention it brought, but she would be a nobody if she debuted today.
