She hit the high notes without struggling or becoming shrill. Though I would have preferred a bit more power. I think she can be meaningfully compared to Mizuki, though I still prefer Mizuki due to her more solid head voice. And at least Mizuki tries to be trilingual.

You'd be wrong about not backing it up just because I was there. I loved the rendition of My Dearest, adrenaline was fun idolshit, and songs 8 and 9 are written in tiny enough kanji that I don't recognize off the top of my head but were also fun. The rest certainly wasn't bad, but those were the highs for me.

Just make sure you go give the actual video a view once it's back up, since it was nayuta's birthday celebration.

The first three have the same pattern of graduation as the girls in the first two waves, and they are friends with the current girls - Lyrica and Shannon being friends with Elira and Pomu, and Marie being friends with Petra. Hana Flores is kind of wishful thinking but people mostly stick with it since there haven't been any other graduations, and she indicated she was going to reincarnate

Because the company ones are managed by Japanese dinosaurs who don't understand Western social media's catering to people of note, which is why almost none of them have the music note as well, and the ones that are indies are largely the theater kids who are equally as tech incompetent. There's a few who, given how savvy they are about Twitter and tech stuff that continue to surprise me with how poorly they utilize Youtube, like Boogey Voxx and Edo, but I think they Japanese are just massively behind on the basic Youtube meta from being on NND for so long.

You're in the heavy minority, but you're not the only one if we assume that nayuta's audience is fairly representative of the average vsinger fan.
https://twitter.com/7utauta/status/1416247398079164419

Personally, I don't mind people png tubing since the great thing about singing streams is that there isn't really any need to look at the stream, so I do other things while listening. That doesn't mean I can't appreciating better visuals then the average, like Hachi's rotating camera trick which makes her streams very dynamic and interesting, but at the same time, they only enhance the experience when they're good for me, not detract from them when they're bad. I do think that the motion can help with connecting with audience, turning the singer from a disembodied voice to being able to see them smile and laugh really does make them much more of a person that you want to support though.

Ultimately music is form of art and blends with everything surrounding it which impacts how people like it, there's reason vidya OSTs are liked even if they usually aren't that great, they evoke actual memories and experiences of the listeners after all, for example I really doubt that anyone that didn't play Drakengard would like this piece even if Drakengard's OST is honestly emotional masterpiece, every track pretty much rapes emotions into you, just not ones that most people like

Here's a great one >>6671210, but you have the things that are noted in the reply chain, using names that are already claimed by established big names, the tendency to hide streams by unlisting them instead of just letting it sit there and collect views by some and others spamming low engagement streams such as gaming which makes people not get notified for your other content if they ignore it, people uploading content on multiple different platforms instead of just Youtube, like Twitcast, nanamusic and Reality instead of sticking with one to build the audience, letting their channels sit inactive for long periods of time instead of spacing out their uploads, and a whole host of metagame things with thumbnails and tags that you can find by just googling Youtube SEO. That's just the stuff that I notice, and I'm not even a content creator who knows the actual arcane arts, just a consumer. Some of them are better about it then others, like Boogey and Edo as I mentioned, doing a good job with ensuring they have weekly content even if it's something simple, got membership which seems to get you pushed by Youtube harder, but haven't applied for the music note, which both pushes your music content as music and allows you to get engagement for the topic videos of your songs. Conversely, you have Vesperbell and Hachi who got the music note as soon as they could, but took forever to roll out membership in the case of the later and the former is using Fanbox instead.

>> No.10329918

marine has the widest vocal range among the holos i think. even wider than kanata.
low range: https://youtu.be/JYtt0inzDR4
high range: almost everything else she sings
live performance wise, she sings a lot of the same old anisongs over and over so they're very well practiced. basically a more polished kanata.
i like that she spends her money on good original songs and mvs rather than do a lot of covers with low cost mvs. i wish more vsingers follow her example. just clip covers straight from the karaoke session or something. I'm glad the admiral does this too.
subaru... she's got the spirit and decent singing voice but need more training. she's somewhere between shion and choco.

We have talked about Marine before. She has a distinct vibrato, but often struggles with pitch control during live singing. A recent example (at 1:10:54)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFb9pUUlU40&t=4192s

Subaru also struggles with pitch control, though not as much. Her lack of public karaokes means this could have improved, but I'm not betting on it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_WeWBviZLY&t=2254s

Good pitch control is important to be considered as a budding singer.

I didn't really think much of it at the time when I heard it during her live, but AZKi's new song has some pretty strong note holds now that I'm listening to the studio version and going back to the concert, she did them live without any real problem. Wonder if she's been working on that, or if it's just been nerves and her approach to live singing that didn't have them.

>> No.10344814

>>10329918
I don't disagree that Marine has a wide range but it's not as wide as Kanata's, Marine has very obvious issues with high notes in karaokes. Hell, according to what Kanata told us about her birthday 3D live with duet with Marine, the original plan was for Marine to do the high notes but she asked to do the low notes instead cause she struggled. Although I do think with more proper vocal training she can improve on this.

>> No.10344960

>>10344814
Conversely, though, I don't think Kanata can go as low as Marine does, especially when the latter is doing drunken karaoke with Flare where they're not taking it seriously. Marine may not be well practiced to be able to utilize that entire range well, but her feeling more comfortable with the male part of Hanabi makes sense, especially if she's singing with Kanata who's great at the top of her voice.

Damn. This makes me believe that online concert with virtual avatar is the future. I am probably wrong as the world's lockdown coming to an end but I think this is cooler than what we have in the real world and is here to stay.

VR concerts like Vark are the future, since you don't have a limited number of seats or require your fans to travel. Wouldn't be surprised to see them being popular amongst even non virtual artists within a decade.

I assumed it is cheaper to do in Vark than Budoukan?

>> No.10408658

>>10408385
By order of magnitudes. You don't have a venue fee, security, or the accompanying insurances at all. The audio engineering is much more straightforward since they're just putting out a stream instead of trying to get it to sound good for the entire building audience. Performers don't have to travel to the concert's location, and in the case of a virtual performer, you'd need the mocap set up either way so you're note even saving money by avoiding that. There are a few different expenses, in that you need a to commission a 3D artist for the stage, additional rendering hardware to handle the bigger load of more then just the performer, and some basic visual effects like AZKi and Kaf had at their concerts to take advantage of that to make it visually impressive, but those are all peanuts compared to what it takes to hold an in person concert, much less one at a big name venue like the Budoukan. You also don't limit your potential paying customers to the ones who are local, or cannibalize your sales by offering a streaming perspective as well a more expensive live ticket. The only real big downsides is there isn't a good vessel for having the audience hype as part of the concert at the moment, though Vark did a good job with timing some stock crowd cheering audio during Suzy's Cinderella portion, so they're clearly working on it.

>> No.10408758

>>10408658
>The only real big downsides is there isn't a good vessel for having the audience hype as part of the concert at the moment
We have chat though. They can always integrate chat into the crowd cheers. The faster the chat goes, the more hype it is for the virtual crowd.

>> No.10408924

>>10408758
Sure, but how do you balance that hype with not overpowering the singing? In a real concert, you have people dancing and waving their glowsticks during the song as silent hype the performer can see, interspersed with call and responses and applause as verbal feedback. While you can somewhat simulate that by tying those to specific emotes in chat, you still lose a lot of dynamicism of the audience not just being seated in front of their computer per usual and in a VR setting, you can't type in chat that readily. Of course, in VR, you can actually shake your glowsticks and they just have to figure out how to take in that tracking data and put it to a model in the audience, but even that still isn't the same for the performer if they're used to feeding off the energy of the crowd, like AZKi does for example.

I apologise if this post is offtopic, but does anyone know anywhere on 4chan where I could regularly discuss learning how to sing? The only place I can think of is /asp/ here on /vt/, and /mu/ doesn't have a singing general.

>> No.10409065

>>10408970
Well if you decide to be a 2view vsinger you can always post your content here. But general if you want to learn to sing I don't think 4chan is a good place.
