Also unrelated IQ numbers are very real, cant comment on mensa as an association but the test is an accurate representation of ones ability. Pattern recognition is used everywhere. from social situations, creative work and of course logical thinking, it's the root of humanity and without it we would be throwing sticks until we died off. People might dismiss the test because "its just shapes lol" but its much deeper than that, it's what distinguishes you from animals
