sorry for the late response. I'm just glad my stories left such an impact that people still have them in mind today.
Match-Made was originally planned to be more shitpost-y and far shorter due to the nature of the prompt. I then got a bit carried away and it got more dramatic, so it turned into that sorta hybrid, not-one-and-not-the-other, it ended up as.
I briefly mentioned it back then, but I never thought Suisei would actually have people rooting for her, for me it was always supposed to be "just" a Koyori fic.
Suisei was supposed to be a throwaway character to get the plot going. I realize that was really dumb and kind of lazy on my part, considering Suisei IS a well liked, established character by the nature of it being a fanfiction on its own. I'm even fond of her myself. Actually wrote the original prompt for "your sister Suisei catches you lusting after maid Aqua and decides to seduce you by dressing up as her to keep the bloodline clean" - still hope someone picks that up. So... my bad on that.
Besides that, I'm quite aware that my endings often seem... lacking. Ironically, I hate rom fics that end immediately after the "resolve", when the characters get together. Mine almost always do just that. Well, except Match-Made... and that attempt seemed rather polarising.
I also love rom fics that end in steamy, loving smut. Mine almost never do.
I just... don't know what to write? And my smut always feels a bit... vanilla and boring. I only ever tried with Petting your Fox, but it just seemed to lack the raw sexual energy of "foxfriend and overly nice boyfriend" for example.
Don't quite know how to tackle these problems... and it's been keeping me from getting a otherwise like 90% finished piece out for a while now.
