To me, there is no difference amongst the people who choose to purchase a textbook, a movie ticket, a vtuber membership, a PS5, a football game ticket, a vtuber live concert, an ice cream cone, etc. You may think that pursuing "a higher calling" with whatever 5 bucks or 500 bucks you spend is worth more than insert-other-thing-here but why should that affect you, if random people are choosing to instead not pursue this higher calling.
