Oh don't misunderstand, the situation with that group of threads is unfortunate. Those specific cases can't be helped. I was refering specifically to the ability for a board to Get Shit Done. That has always been the individuals, not the collective.
Even with board culture threads like the Forbidden Four, it doesn't really need to be the old threads either. There are still corners on this board that have similar communal qualities if you're willing to engage with them. Clinging to past threads that might remain perpetually banned won't help that. Sometimes you have to make your own happiness.
