They both created this type of environment for themselves, and they had no reason to do so outside of greed. Mafumafu has a case, because he's old and I don't think he had enough sensibility on the internet to not foster fujoshit's back in 2009 or whenever he started because who the fuck would? And once you're in there you can't exactly pull out, kinda like ye olde lets players who will forever be "that obscure jrpg guy" or "the la mulana guy" or "the mario romhack guy" despite having moved on from that years ago.

But admittedly, I wasn't following the guy back then, so this is purely an assumption he didn't realize his fanbase was cancerous until it was too late, so maybe he doesn't actually deserve my pity but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt anyways.
