Anons here like to complain about clips but the truth is that vtubers are massive clipfags, they can't watch every stream of every competitor so they study them through clips.
Most people who work and will send free money to vtubers are also huge clipfags because they can't watch every single archive, they have a job.
Clips are what the audience takes away from a chuuba's character. While they can end up flanderizing and giving only partial information about the chuuba, it doesn't really matter. If they failed to make the entire essence of their character clippable they failed at their job.
Clips are a vtuber's advertisment, it makes or breaks them. Chuubas who look shitty in their clips are shitty period. If anything, clipfags are the ones who give the most objective evaluation of a chuuba.
