In Indonesia you get "just" whipped for it and the rest just toss you where the sun doesn't shine.
What's interesting is that one of the most-used drugs in SEA and Japan is meth. This is probably due to a mix of ease of manufacture and work culture.
It's incredibly popular among field workers and cab drivers in Pinoy and Indogland and ironically enough has something of a *better* rap than in many other countries.

A friend of the family once absentmindedly smuggled a bunch of pink pills in from overseas (airport controllers are useless) and offered them as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
