Ah it's time for the dinner talk again
First I need to address this
>I know you said you were employed before the AI takeover. Are you still in an art field?
I'm an employee and I'm still employed so I'm pretty much still in the field. My position is a mix of being an artist and managerial, sometimes communicating with clients.
>I'd like to see some of your stuff... somehow if that's alright. Or just describe in words the genre and subjects you drew.
I have 2 types of artworks : Personal artworks and work related artworks. My work related artworks I cannot show because of NDA and most of them got nothing to do with anime style at all cause I need to follow the art directions of each projects and they vary a lot. My personal artworks are anime styled and just for an example, here's a sketch of Lulu that I just did https://files.catbox.moe/bqnskh.jpg
Advance request : In an event that any of you discovered who I am, please keep my identity to yourselves :)
>Oh I thought IP's might have been in for a rough ride, but I guess not enough people are prompting Mickey giving a BJ to to princess peach in a McDonalds. Go figure. You're probably right.
Big IPs are too big to be affected, nobody would believe Disney made that even though a lot of Disney Pixar artists draw lewds of the characters off the record. And if someone dare to profit from that and they sniffed it, they can just send Cease and Desist directly.
>So if you don't mind me asking, what's your personal take then Lululanon?
Prior to learning prompting, like every other artists, I heavily opposed AI generated images, went as far as taking down my entire DeviantArt gallery as a protest for them defaulting on opt-in option in whether you want your art to be added into their AI training or not.
After I learned how to prompt, my opinion about AI generated images shifted as I discovered that there are several misconceptions about the AI like I've mentioned before in the previous thread(s). As for now, my take is as long as it's for personal use, to have fun, memeing, etc, and not profiting from it, let alone spite on artists, I guess AI generated images can coexist with the industry. But the concern that it will still shift the creative industry in general still lingers so let's just say I'm approaching this with caution.
However, due to my nature as an artist, I do have several opinions that does not align with most of the people here. Like style LoRA for example, if you noticed I almost never use any known style LoRA for my generations except for that few times during my earlier weeks learning how to prompt that I added the Dohna Dohna LoRA (artist : Gyokai) to the prompt because I was curious. I personally would refrain to use specifically someone else's artstyle in my generations as I deem it disrespectful to the artist. Or if someone really wanna do it, just keep it to themselves or a closed community.
>How has AI (which you're quite good at) affected your personal traditional and digital art journey? Have you forsaken the brush to dedicate yourself to the prompt? Do you still draw? Do you still get a joy from drawing lines onto canvas/white pixel map?
I still enjoy drawing, though I've been having too much fun generating I haven't done a lot of personal drawings for the last few months and work has just becoming more and more exhausting that I don't really have time to do personal arts.
>I'm finding myself that while I drawing I get a sense of 'this is pointless'.
I've mentioned before that there is more to drawing than just the end results. It being an eye-hand coordination activity, and for me personally, I get the feeling that "This is something that's truly mine" and it becomes part of my personal satisfactions when making arts and putting them up for display in like social medias.
>Do you ever get the urge to just photoshop paint over some of the hands and janky anatomy even here?
Depends on how janky and how distracting the jankiness is to the whole picture, most of the time I just don't care.
