Borderline impossible if you start now. You need to have started at least 2 years ago to have amassed any credibility or following. And to have beaten people to the goldrush. Even those who have been around for a few years struggle to stay relevant, even within a 2-3view sphere. Which is why many resort to coomerbait models and have no choice but to collab with the same network of twitch vtubers as everyone else.

Also, to stand out you absolutely need to have some kind of mastery in a skill or people won't feel a reason to watch you:
>Can you draw cute girls to a very high, almost professional standard?
>Can you sing well enough to melt people's hearts?
>Do you have impeccable kayfabe? (when I say impeccable, I mean it. Increasing the pitch of your voice isn't enough. Could you literally perform in character forever to the point where people believe you are the anime girl?)

I've purposefully excluded "expert gamer" here because it's simply not enough these days. There are enough Master rank and higher Apex vtubers and proficient [insert souls game] vtubers out there now.
Again, I don't know how else to say it other than unless you're extraordinary at something, then if you didn't begin the vtubing gig 2-3 years ago you're possibly just out of luck.
