/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

These threads move and timeloop so fast that it's hard to get a word in edgewise nowadays, but I'll try. And let me share some background, I've been an ardent opponent of the Trash Taste crew even before they were Trash Taste, back in the old days, and through some connections I've had the pleasure of saying that to their faces, in person. And still, these Mori anti threads are some of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen on /vt/ or /jp/. I've been around the Virtual Youtuber scene since before Hololive was a thing and it always amuses me to see people act like Mori is breaking some established code of conduct in the community, while in reality this code only exists in their imaginations. Or what, are you going to discount Hololive's extensive appearances on Japanese TV and other Youtube channels, often with - gasp - men? Really, really fucking cringeworthy men like Viking Eiji Kotouge? The guy who looks like a literal faceless ojisan?

And don't get me wrong, plenty of Japanese fans dislike this too. But for the most part they don't elevate this into harassment campaigns on twitter and their channel or seethe nearly as much as the fags on this board does. Because they have a modicum of respect and understand that if you don't like the vtuber, just don't watch them. You know what you guys are acting like? The Chinks during the Coco scandal. You feel betrayed because Mori "violated" some imaginary boundary you had projected onto her, and then are too arrogant and self-absorbed to realize that. Connor sucks. Gigguk sucks. Joey, I'm actually kind of alright with. After talking to him I found we had similar manga tastes and I've come to respect him, if not his choice of entourage. But either way, I get not liking Mori collabing with TT, I think it's horribly cringe too. But you're literally stooping to the level of angry chinks here, have some self awareness.

The kicker is that I know most of those complaining aren't Mori fans feeling betrayed. Some are, but most of the truly angry people are those who are afraid of Mori's influence on the rest of HoloEN. That by collabing with TT, they might inspire others to do the same. How is this any different than the Chinese fans who hated Coco not because they watched her, but because they saw her as being a traitor to the company, going against fellow talent who they ASSUME are pro-China, and they were afraid that Coco might convince Aqua that Taiwan is a country? Newsflash, Aqua already thinks so and hates the Chinese retards, just like the rest of HoloEN have their own ideas and hate you retards too. Do you think Gura is gonna step out and praise you for "standing up" to Mori's influence? Are you really that delusional?
