Anon 90% of the population think the chemical imbalance theory of depression is legitimate, when there have been multiple meta studies that contain dozens and dozens of studies that show it never had any grounding whatsoever.

When polled half of psychiatrists say they tell their patients the chemical imbalance theory of depression to their clients despite it being bunk science from the day it was even suggested. Psychiatry dropped it nearly 30 years ago and yet psychiatrists still lie just to suck more people into the system. It's disgusting.

Going to the gym has long been known to lead to better outcomes for depression, personal wellbeing, and health than taking anti-depressants which also cause a huge hosts of fucked up side affects, yet when I went to a psychiatrist in my teens, guess which one they suggested I do? Never trust these psychiatrists they are all women who don't know shit and just regurgitate what they were told by the previous generation which did the same exact thing.

>You think mental illness needs some sort of major trigger? It doesn't. The shit can happen for literally no reason at all
That isn't true. "No reason at all" is neurological, not mental. I have met hundreds of people in health groups over a decade, and I can tell you, every single person had a reason and it was never no reason. It's an environmental or hormonal effect, but it isn't a chemical imbalance.
