I don't get why this is a surprise to anyone. Amelia said from the start she prefers solo streams. She's always been someone with commitment issues who loves freedom of choice above all else. She has people she likes, but she can only handle people in small doses before she gets antsy and wants to drift off into the background or cut things short. That's just the way she is.
