This has got me fucked up since Saturday when I heard about it.

"What do you see when you picture an apple?"

One of my D&D buddies apparently shared this with his other group and they had 4 of the 5 options represented.
Some people cannot picture an apple.
I'm at 1. One of the members in our group is a 5. I asked "so when you're visualizing picking up an apple and turning it in your hands, it's black, or there's no apple at all, or what?"

He literally cannot visualise looking down at an apple and moving it around in his hands.

This may be a "yeah, duh" thing for all of you, but I had no idea. I can walk through an entire grocery store in my head and when I open my eyes I feel a bit unsteady like I'm waking up from a short dream. It's not incredibly vivid, but I can do it and picture very clearly moving different products around and things like that.

I'm not saying I think that means I'm smart, I just had no idea until very recently that not everyone could do this.
