Well, let's look at what was the context of those early "fast threads" in March-April:
>4~5 streams per week
This will never happen again, she quickly reduced that as it was not sustainable especially with her sleep problems
Also, she is "done with her project" right now and in the bonus phase, so even 2 streams per week should be a good week, I expect long pauses to come this year
>Threads only on stream days
This was the case for quite a while and was GREAT, really, I insist. Often there were 24-48h without a thread and that was perfectly fine, people have other things to do in life
It gives more weight to the actual threads and avoids threads full of time loops, offtopic, forced drama, doomposting, which is the core of those useless off-stream threads. There are plenty of things to do in life to not have a need to constantly post all day long in a thread about nothing.
>More viewers
Yes, at the very beginning she had more viewers, not the difference some people think, but she has about half to 2/3 of the very first streams, which is pretty normal for any vtuber with a big initial influx, without strong networking you decline by defaut, and usually much more than that.
>High concentration of /vt/ users who have a new toy.
Yes, as often with a new thread like this, many tourists stay a few threads, maybe a month or two, and leave once their toy no longer seems to follow their commands perfectly. The early fanbase had good points, but were also the typical nu-channer holotard (not all holo fans are holotards, mind you) and would have left anyway
The most active people who spend their days posting on /vt/ aren't always the ideal kind of audience you want (quite the opposite), so it's normal that things have slowed down
>Self-fulfilling prophecy
Because activity naturally slows down, people start posting and being negative, timelooping about discord and other stuff for the 200th time and thinking that a slow thread is bad and MUST be fast no matter its quality, but those complaints honestly just cause more balanced posters to disappear, at least I've started skipping a lot of threads because of it, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks it just sucks to open a thread only to read negativity and complaints everywhere, after a while you slowly come less and less.

So basically there isn't much to do aside from less complaining about the thread being slow and ideally not making threads all the time but I guess some troll will always make one anyway idk. Personally I'll still check every now and then to see if anons aren't too menhera and just enjoying ta slower thread to see if it's worth following /yah/ threads agfain.
