Actually, no. Upping the dosage is an outmoded protocol that decreases functionality and increases the likelihood of the patient just fucking killing themselves at some point.
Broadly speaking there are 3 main motivation & wanting to exist neurotransmitters we currently target with new systems being discovered every few years but drug development not keeping pace

Serotonin is enhanced by Lexapro and most other antidepressants. It softens the active feelings of despair but also everything else.
Dopamin and Norepinephrine are enhanced by Welbutrin. This improves motivation and focus and is a fairly recent addition to the treatment regimen. It's become something of a rising star because it also treats symptoms of ADHD at the same time, doesn't make your pp/vaj not work and lets you actually get enthusiastic about things.

Down(????????)side is that it makes you in-fucking-credibly horny and worsens(?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????) the hyperfixation symptoms of autism.

TL;DR: No using two drugs instead of one but more of it is actually better because they don't target the same systems.
