/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

Found this in one of my folders and got me reminiscing, so apologies but I'm gonna memory dump on (you)

>never knew about ryona
>got bored of /vt/ early on and stopped browsing back when there were still occasional orange threads so I never saw /meat/
>learned about a vtuber who stapled her vagina from a dramatuber in late 2022
>found out about /meat/ from archived threads when investigating Comma and learning about her other activities
>threads are banned so I follow her youtube and watch her play pokemon
>feels bad I missed out on the days of something weird but special and am happy she's streaming at least
>early in January 2023 I look her up and notice her channel has been deleted
>I never close my browser so I find her channel is still loaded on one of the tabs
>I screenshot it and make a thread about it

>anon says something like "treasure this moment in your vtuber journey"
>how can I treasure something I wasn't there for?

>the events involving Akira that would lead up to #prayforakira happen
>through this I learn about the offsite
>get involved in finding a way to post, make stealth threads, isthisthethread.png
>at some point anons start posting threads under /freak/
>get motivated in thread creation/bump duty. /mspdt/ memories motivate me
>get to know other anons and share experiences
>during a troubling time, I get banned from my main wholesome Christian vtuber community for being schizo
>realize I'm never gonna fit in with normies and make /freak/ my permanent vtuber home
>start to work on my transition from wholesome seiso to wholesome /freak/
>/freak/s are ok with my vtuber transition ideas
>feels good man
>/freak/ expands to include more possibilities
>community get's stronger and more connected
>cool and creative people join us with their unique visions for content
>never get archived by jannies (except for that one weird time maybe)
>not being there for /meat/ doesn't feel so bad anymore because I became a part of something just as special

And now with Pamu it feels like all that we did in the past year to keep the flame alive has payed off and we're truly in a space where we can be ourselves while also attracting the interest of some of the most interesting weird chuubas. I'm so happy to have been a part of this last year with you all!
