Shit, sorry man, I'll most likely end up dropping that idea. It would interfere with a few things I've already written and overall wouldn't fit into the setting without feeling forced, even though kimono Ayame IS very tempting. Might save the idea for another time.
That said, I'm surprised we don't have any summer festival stories (at least to my memory) despite how low-hanging of a concept it is, and also considering how prevalent it is in anime. If you're after some summer fes fics I can only think of Cover High, which is leading up to a big summer festival, and I also vaguely recall a Mio story about having a nightmare and waking up on her lap that might have had something to do with summer festivals, I think. I'd love to see one myself and have no clue why I didn't think of such a good idea until now. Must have been the holos showing off their yukatas that awakened it.
