/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

not sure if this belongs here, but I want to get it off my chest. I apologize if it doesn't.

I'm a Vtuber and ever since I've heard of Vtubers I've been fascinated with the idea of becoming one.
I've catfished people all my life, since I was about 10-12. I wasn't particularly ugly, just very shy as myself. I'll admit I wasn't the most beautiful girl ever and the faces I'd use where more attractive than me. I was asian, and I'd usually catfish as white girls because of some sort of self hatred being a chink.
I've catfished as 15+ different people over the years. Every one of them had a vastly different look, personality, back ground, childhood stories, weaknesses, hobbies, and strengths.
Now that I've found Vtubing I can be anyone I want to be without all the work it took to mantain the life of a catfish (people do get suspicious after a while of no video calls..).. and the work it took to keep up all the lies.
It's been the fun. I don't have to run away when people come close to finding out I'm actually not the person in the pictures. Vtubing is a form of escapism, not just for the viewers but also for us Vtubers.
