Let me explain OP.

Hololive was advertised as a more "conservative" corporation to Nijisanji. Because Nijisanji was the first, and much more loose in their rules. There's no rules against dating, marrying, or collabing with males. Many of the talents are pro-gay, and some of them have crossdressing models.

So basically, a lot of /pol/fags and unicorns started pushing hololive and promoting it on 4chan because of its more conservative reputation. The girls didn't collab with boys, they maintained a more clean and seiso image. And even if many of the girls are far-left activists or whores behind the scenes, they are forced to maintain a conservative image on stream. That is why there was such a revolt when Hololive introduced their male branch. There was so much outrage, they confined the males to their own little corporation, called HoloStars, to give them separation with the females. And that's why there's now such a revolt against Hololive EN's new males. It's basically taking away one of the only reasons people watch Hololive in the first place.

Nijisanji EN is fairly excellent. But they collab with males, and are a bit more rude on stream. So this turns off the more conservative minded people.

Indies got a very bad reputation, because many of them are whorish to attract viewers. Showing their tits on stream, talking about the times they had sex, things like this. Vshojo is the absolute worst when it comes to this. In fact the Vshojo audience is not rooted to 4chan, but is mostly random twitch viewers. The smaller corporations got lumped into the indies, although most of them are very conservative and copying hololive. Many of them are very poorly managed and making bad business decisions. Like Cyberlive which completely collapsed because of drama and bad management.

So it seemed like Hololive was the only corporation to consider. Everyone else is tainted.
I don't think this is true. I think some of the small corporations are starting to increase their viewers. Phase Connect feels a lot like hololive in the early days.
