Thank you my fellow fruit brethren.
Download any fruit texture you like from google or wherever else, go to Gimp and put on Gimp the image you like to edit.
Set cursor on the image you have and "right click -> colors -> colorize". Set whatever you want (good for eyes, other areas that need a tint but not the texture).
Put the fruit layer above it. Enlarge it if you like with "scale tool (SHIFT + S)" and if you also want the texture to cover other bases with the pores not being too big then hover above the fruit layer, "right click -> duplicate layer". Always know which layer you have selected. To check which is which click the "eye" icon.
Select the fruit layer (probably already is selected by this point) and click on the "mode" drop down menu that is right above the layers and select "Hard light" (it will be "normal" by default).

Applying the layer where you want it:

Those eyes near the layers change the visibility of the layers. Make sure you actually have selected the fruit layer afterwards, since that is what you will be cutting with the following tool, despite the layer not being visible.

>Option A: Precision cut
Make sure you can't see the fruit layer and only the thing you are working with to be able to know what to cut out (obviously).
Select the "paths tool" (B) and click the dots around the area you want to keep the fruit texture on. Then once the dots are enclosed, "right click -> select -> from path" and then "CTRL + X" to cut out. (If it happens to cut out the opposite area, then just hit "CTRL + Z" to revert, and to change which area it cuts out hit "CTRL + I", and you will be able to cut out the wanted area.)
To see what it looks like then of course make sure to click on the eye to see the result. You can "right click" and play with the settings like color, if you find the color too bright, dark, etc. To end selection "right click -> select -> none" and you can continue below...
If you want to continue, for eg want the eyes to look normal (not have the texture), then you can do the same process A here. Or what is shown in option B below.

>Option B: ASAP
Just take the eraser and know where you don't want the fruit texture to be. Make sure the fruit layer is selected. Switch between seeing and not seeing the actual fruit layer to see what you are actually doing.

>Making better edges:
If you don't like the edges of the texture not being subtle enough with the transition from normal to fruit, then just use the "blush tool (SHIFT + U)" and "smudge tool (S)". Seeing both layers, fruit and whatever is below it, is better IMO.

>OK I'm done what now??????
If you want to SAVE the Gimp file (not actually get the edn product - the JPEG or PNG, Gif, ...) then go to top left "file -> save as -> ..." you know the rest.
If you want the END PRODUCT (Jpeg, png etc.....) you will want to export:
Go to top left "file -> Export as -> (here you can change the "name_of_image.jpg" image type by replacing the ".jpg" with ".png" if you want) -> OK -> (only play with compress level - lower number = higher quality)".

>4chan says my meme is too big
Export again but make the compress lever larger.
