Hello! Summer event organizers here.

So after discussions on results we have the final review, with some options to choose from in the form below.

We opted for a dual weekend setup as we had a perfect split on choices. The dates are 10th, 11th, 12th (Weekend 1), and 24th, 25th, 26th (Weekend 2).
The mentioned OC contest ends on the 26th/27th as we might have some fun moments during the events, it begins from now.

For games we have (in order of most votes by rank):
Mahjong tournament, AMQ, Chess tournament, Tetris, Poker, Social Deduction games, CSGO, 100% OJ + any impromptu games. Racing did have some votes, however we werent able to find any suitable free games (suggestions welcome), so this may be self organised during the time. Likewise, we can organise impromptu sessions not on the list (e.g. League/Dota).

The idea we have is to have one main tournament per weekend, with other games and activities happening alongside the main event. This would mean that Chess will be Weekend 1, Mahjong is Weekend 2.

I have come to you once again to gauge your thoughts on the Summer Games event mentioned last week. The purpose of the below form is to find which events people want prioritized, since we only have a limited amount of time for the event. We cannot do everything, so it is important to see what people want most.

I had to remove some options due to them either being unfeasible or unsuitable for the event, I apologize for that. The $10 million race is unfortunately not going to be possible.

The OC and OP making contest will be held even though is isn't mentioned in the options. This contest will start a week before the event, and the winner will be chosen on the first day of the event weekend.

The Summer Games form has ran its course and I'd like to announce some results.

The form gained a total of 26 replies, 2 of which had to be discarded due to being either confirmed double replies from a same person his other reply was still counted, it was an honest mistake, or non-replies.

Interest in the event was overwhelmingly positive, with 19 out of the 24 respondents answering "yes". From the remaining 5, 3 were something along the lines of "probably", 1 was just "dota", which I decided to interpret as "maybe", and 1 was negative, although I suspect in a non serious manner.

From the activities provided by the form, "Anime Music Quiz" got the most votes at 15, followed shortly after by csgo and OP making contest, both of which received 14 votes. Small Mahjong Tournament and First to 10mil race both got 13 votes. Individual mahjong games got the least votes at 11.

For suggested activities, the form got a total of 13 + 16 13 on the first question mentioning activities, 16 on the other responses, with many of the responses mentioning multiple possible ideas.
The most suggested activity was some sort of a race, with suggestions referring either to racing games such as mario kart, or minecraft races/competitions.
Other highly suggested activities were Dota with 3 + 2 suggestions, and "something in minecraft" with 3 + 1 suggestions.

Due to the sheer amount of suggestions, I think I'll need to do another form to see which ideas people would like to see the most, and which they would like to prioritize over others.

As for the date of the event, most responses were something in the vein of "anything goes", with the majority of the other responses preferring June and weekends.
This question got a total of 20 responses.

As for the length of the event, 14 respondents answered with "one weekend", 8 responded with "two weekends", 1 responded with "dont mind", and 1 response had to be discarded.
This question got a total of 24 responses.

No one submitted "niggerman" as their name.

Discuss. I will make another form for additional questions regarding the activities, the length of the event, and the actual date.
But i wont do it tonight. Tomorrow, probably, hopefully. Im slowly realizing that this project is a bit bigger than I initially thought. I'll try my best but please be understanding..

For some time, I have been thinking of various ways that the community could interact with each other, and since it has been quite sometime since the last thread "event", the Mahjong Tournament of December 2021, I thought that something similar could be fun to organize again. So here is the idea of a 'Summer Games' event, where we could have a bunch of different games, competitions, and other fun activities, perhaps a smaller mahjong tournament as well. To gauge interest and to gain more ideas for possible activities, I decided to make this form. Please fill it if you are at all interested in something like this.
