How happy do you think Watame was to see herself paired with Haato?

And how broken Migo was to see that...

Watame has always and still loves Haatochama. She was one of the two callers in Haachama's time travel birthday stream:
https://youtu.be/kBljUjjkRsA?t=531

And she wished Haachama good night as recent as 6th of May:
https://twitter.com/tsunomakiwatame/status/1390265389746057219

I also recall a while ago (months?) that I was in a Watame superchat stream and she talked about how she REALLY likes Haachama and all that, almost like a love confession.

As for Haachama, according to Catsy's reply tweet (one of the most reliable Watame chat translators):
>Context: Apparently Haachama mentioned Watame during the 1st Gen's 3rd anniversary concert. Tee-tee.

So at least Haawata is still there in spirit, even though they haven't had a collab since the start of the year.

The entire reason kanji is a thing is to help differentiate between words which are written the same way but pronounced differently.
Take for example the English word "close". It can be used as either a verb or an adjective, with both uses having completely different meanings.
An example of this in Japanese would be the term "nan", which could mean either "what" (nan desu ka? = what?/what's that?) or could be used as a way to provide emphasis in a sentence (sou nan desu! = that's right!/more emphatic that's right than just sou desu).
This is an issue because Japanese, like English and Korean, is not a tonal language.
In English and Korean the differences in meaning between words such as "close" are instead inferred by the surrounding context.
Japanese people can not do this with Japanese because they are stupid.
If you want to remove kanji from the Japanese language you must first start by breeding with Japanese people in order to fix their genetic stupidity.
