Devchama confirmed that it adjusts downward, but won't ever go below the coin's "actual" predicted value at adjustment. This means that if you're not buying in late (like say, after poi's finalized numbers for the day), then you'll always make money. I've profited on the last few dips even though everything went red, simply because my MPP was so low on some coins that I could flip a few shares for liquid on the real discounts, which I flipped again today for more profit.
