I actually kind of agree with this, it's the equivalent of getting invited to a gathering by your friend but when you get there they don't even hang out with you, instead choosing to mingle with people you don't even know, so you are left to awkwardly stand around and watch everyone else have fun.

Most people should understand this feeling and if you do you know it's a very bad one. It's not quite the same because they are all technically acquaintances at least but it still applies, and no doubt the other EN girls felt this way a few times throughout the festival.
