I understand there is a common audience but, in this particular case, there is also a "causality" involvd with the audience of the early stage of the pipeline being exposed to the next stage by collabs, coincidences or similar artists working on both projects.
It ends up connecting them on more than a fanbase level but also in a content creator level with illustrators, animators and other content creators making professional and hobbyist material for one then the other then the other.

I forgot one step in this pipeline, it should go like this
>2hu / Fate -> Azur Lane -> Hololive -> Blue Archive
Then, outside this pipeline there is Kancolle, Genshin, Honkai and NIKKE which are contemporary competitors but that didn't get caught by the same segment of the audience

One funny thing about this "Fate -> Azur Lane -> Hololive" pipeline is that you can witness that in the cosplay scene, with most of the girls that specialized in one of these franchises having moved smoothly to the next and to the next until Hololive these days.
