I dunno, observing my sister and mother, they both keep complaining about being unhappy and, yet, have no idea what would make them happy.
I try to teach them that happiness is obtained a la Buddhist/Christian Monks but they cannot fathom it. They continue to seek what other 'happy' people have in the hopes that makes them happy.
