Mixing vtubers of different gender makes no sense from any point of view. It's very simple.
Vtubers are just streamers with an avatar. Why do they need an avatar? To be more attractive, to provide something of a girlfriend experience and whatnot, something more close and intimate than regular streamers. That on itself is not exclusive to vtubers of course, but it's hardly a case with male streamers. Male streamers seldom care about looking pretty, they usually attract viewers by the content they produce. Why would a male streamer want an anime avatar? Most likely to be more attractive.
Now, who is attracted to males, anime or not? Usually gays and females. And logically, female vtubers attract normal males and maybe gay females. There, we have two fanbases with polar opposite interests. One is not interested in the other's content and vice versa. And even more, they could see attempts of mixing them as a betrayal of sort. "My virtual girl/boyfriend is together with a character of different gender" is not the narrative they would want to see. Even more so if the streamers start getting close to each other.
You could make a point that for some reason streamers themselves would want to make the mix happen, but the last point still stands, fans will not be happy with this. Streamers are actors, and as an actor you gotta play your role to the end or face the consequences of breaking character. You don't change horses at the crossing.
So to summarize, fans are unhappy, leading to possible drops in income, making business unhappy, which in return makes streamers unhappy as well. No one wins from this.
Just let male and female vtubers to their own audience. They do not mix well and can go boom.

Because they're the same easily entertained cocksuckers who would watch and donate to streamers watching tiktok shit for 6 hours per day and pay for modern blizzard games. They will gladly consume everything you throw at them, and once they grow bored they will simply move on to the next hot thing.
