honk, when you get around to it, the mutual fund bug ranges from "minor inconvenience" to "the Kenzoku are fucking cheating".
I have been able to "purchase" shares the entire time. The total number of shares in a mutual fund does not increase. The board members do not earn 1.5%. The fund does not increase in available liquid. I am debited for the shares and do receive said "phantom shares" - they earn dividends and can be sold. If I wasn't flat fucking broke I could feasibly send a mutual fund into the shadow realm via negative share count by dumping the "phantom shares" although I don't think any of them have the required low share count + low value...
At least one other user has the same scenario. The rest just can't buy shares at all.
