That's not the premise. The premise of growth came from looking at the massive increase in livestream audience that happened in 2020-2021 and assuming that would cause a boom in the streaming field.
Look beyond vtubers for a while and think about it: Fortnite streamers and Minecraft streamers and AmongUs streamers were raking in subs by the millions and having 200k, 300k+, 500k+ CCV streams for their events.
That's the direction the overall streaming market was signaling and that's the assumption "the market" was making when they set their "growth goals".
Now that the market is clearly signaling where they really are sitting the "growth expectations" got much more tempered and the stock prices are reflecting it.

In Japan, here is the company that was more or less the "trailblazer" in this whole "entertainment company / MCN goes to the stock market"

Their stock, like Anycolor and Cover is trending massively down and for the exact same reason. The growth that was assumed to exist just isn't there, all that's there is "slow and steady"
