Honestly, if you're not enjoying his Super Mario streams, you probably won't find anything too much better in his archives - these are the first games he's played on stream that he's not doing a (mostly) blind run of, so he can actually share nostalgic stories about playing the game as a child. He's enjoyed most games he's played on stream and I find his enjoyment almost infectious; he was especially effusive with his praise for Rain World yesterday, but that game definitely didn't play to his strengths.
I think different people will have different answers to this question, but I might say the game he connected with most is Dusk. It's a game that plays to his strengths and FPS background, he gets really excited about it, and he talks quite a bit about his experience playing Quake and how knowledge of those game mechanics translates into Dusk. Those aren't perfect streams and I felt like his energy was flagging a bit in places, but they're rather representative of Sonny's content.

I also agree with this - his game reviews are some of his best content and it really shows how attentive he is to what he's playing. Some of that comes across when he's actually playing the game, but those post-game reviews really crystallize it all together.

They're extremely stupid and either chuuni or bad puns half the time, but I appreciate that he puts in the effort to make one each and every time. The stupidity is part of the charm.
