Kronie, I have to disagree on some points, having been in the thread for the whole relevant period.
Canals:
A point of contention is that the Risu canal was being made in a non-industrialized, undeveloped, foreign country from /inf/. Also, it has a much more important impact on geopolitics. The /2434/ is built on their own lands and has a minimal effect.
Protectorates:
The who annexation was repealed because the /uuu/ rep was basically just a random sapling brought in to agree with it who never posted again. Shortly after, another sapling joined the thread and begand contributing, and it was good that who's annexation was repealed. Controversial as they are, /2434/'s political moves are being made with actually active thread representatives.
Technology:
I do not think /2434/ has particularly advanced technology. and they likely don't have the largest navy.
