I find the increased monetization off putting myself but if you think of it in a big picture way it's a sign of more ambitious projects to come. The 50% cut no longer needs to feed 8 or however many managers there are now as they are now employed by CE and have salaries, insurance, etc. So that means the cut can now fund other things, unless CE compartmentalized kawaii's finances so the cut needs to surpass management salaries or something.
Also they just hired 2 competitive gamers, 3 if you count Nano picking up Strive even though it's just a party game tier kusoge (and a half if you count Meimi I guess?) so it's possible they have intentions of getting a foot in the esports door as a way to get kawaii's name out there, which would mean they're trying to broaden the company so kawaii isn't just known as "the GFE and ASMR company" - I personally think that's a huge mistake because of the proximity to males and the sex pests it will attract (which has already started btw) but it does seem as though they aren't doing nothing, although in this case "nothing" might be preferable.
