(So I'm the anon that did the iA3. This was indeed my first time doing any kind of LoRA training. I selected what I thought was best based off of loss, which I have learned is actually the wrong thing to do.)
I think in the hands of someone more experienced, it would probably be equivalent in quality.
Although, the crazy thing about iA3 is that you could now embed LoRAs into your images. And now there would be no need to download LoRAs anymore.
That's the thing that really excites me about it.
