A large flat piggy face would also be a cute pillow. Also I recommend something like making the rose out of felt (and glue or stitches).
For an amateur with no exp here are my suggestions for a pattern. Assuming you at least can do an internal stitch and flip it inside out to stuff and do a finishinv stitch.
