For especially lonely people, like kpop stans, vtuber fans, they get attached to a cult of personality and their parasocial attachment gets validated by others
This is the reason why so much saviorfagging exists in vtuber spheres, parasocial fans want to show off to each other as much as they want to show off to the streamer
