I was legitimately bamboozled by spec ops because I got to play the multiplayer demo hands on at E3. They even gave me a shirt. But despite remembering details about the booth and the scwag they gave out, I cannot for the life of me remember a single detail about what I played, it was that generic and forgetable.
So when I skipped out on the game's release, only to be heavily recommended it a year after, I was super confused and had the absolute lowest expectations.

side note: they set it up all the multiplayer console in a burned out bus which was pretty cool.
