After one too many instances of holos being stalked/harassed, Cover corp opens up a Talent Security Division tasked with guarding the talents and shooing away any potential troublemakers. (You) are a former member of the JSDF who gets hired due to having basic combat training and loads of experience in standing around doing nothing for hours at a time. Company policy is to not interact with the talents any more than you have to, but during an off-collab one of the girls (originally Mio) steps outside for a few minutes and strikes up a conversation with you just because she figured you were bored. Despite your repeated assurances that she shouldn't pay you any mind, she insists on greeting you and acknowledging your presence whenever you're assigned to her, and the two of you start to build rapport with each other.
Then when an unknown organized group starts targeting the company, abducting talents and leaving battered bodyguards in their wake, you find yourself caught in an increasingly-dire struggle to keep her and her friends safe as they start to disappear one by one.
